Merry Christmas! Vets: with family support, we’ve overcome the challenge of reintegration.  Your experience and positive commitment will carry Charger Company through to the next domestic or federal mission. All: Today’s riflemen and SAW gunners are our next deployment’s team leaders and  squad leaders. We also have a new BN CDR for JAN IDT. Please take the time to welcome MAJ Zimmerman back to 2-112 IN. I’ll be briefing leaders what the next 4 years will look like sometime during drill. It’s time to plug back in, focus forward, and forge a new Company from our returned veterans and new, welcome faces.

Saturday we’ll be at home station and Sunday afternoon will be consolidated at the Altoona VA for PDHRA. Pack your winter IPFU for both days.

CHARGER 6 BIG 3 for JAN IDT:
1. APFT retest for non-testers/failures / PLT PT
2. Driver’s Training
3. PDHRA

First Sergeant’s Notes:
1SG Michael Swartz, michael.swartz@us.army.mil, (814) 312-0939 (cell)

Happy holidays to all .

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone back to drill. Thank you leaders for your service over the last few years.

Now is the time to integrate returning soldiers with our new/rear detachment soldiers. Leaders, it is your opportunity to build your new team. Assign new soldiers a peer within your platoon to make him feel welcome. We are one company, and need to grow as a team.

This is the year to get your NCOES and other courses completed. Get with SSG Harris to get scheduled.

Travel Vouchers!!!!! See SFC Nedrow's comments below. Use the chain of command to resolve the issues. DO NOT call BN or BDE.

Readiness & Admin Notes:
SFC Matthew Nedrow, matthew.nedrow@pa.ngb.army.mil (814) 355-2689 (Bellefonte armory)
-The most important event for soldiers returning from Iraq will be held in Altoona this drill.  Anyone who misses it will be required to attend another in a less convenient location (Philly, Scranton, Erie, ect).  If you cannot attend drill you must inform your chain of command immediately.  During this event, every deployed soldier will need a copy of their DD 214.  Also, flu shots will be given.  If you have received one this flu season or are medically reactive to the shot, you must bring in documentation.
-As most deployed soldiers know, the travel voucher submission process has been painful.  The latest amended TCS orders arrived 26 October.  If you have not re-submitted your travel claim, you’re potentially missing out on a sizeable amount of money.  Please contact any AGR soldier at either armory as soon as possible to begin the supplemental travel voucher process.  Many, many complaints have been received at every level regarding the poor handling of this issue (currently the TAG is involved as well as NGB).  While there are several options available to you, calling BDE (or BN for that matter) directly is not.  This serves only to delay the process even further.  If you feel you have a valid complaint and are not satisfied with your Chain of Command, please use one of the other options.
-E5 4100s are out.  We will make every effort to complete these this weekend.
-The Yellow Ribbon Program is a mandatory event that all returning soldiers must attend.  While we were all to enroll during our out processing at Ft. Dix, soldiers are showing as having no date.  Either you did something wrong, you snuck out early, or the system was just plain screwed up.  We will be contacting individuals who need to enroll/reenroll in this program.

Training Notes:
SSG Michael Harris, michael.b.harris@us.army.mil, (814) 684-1030 (Tyrone armory)
